The short version: Wuthering Heights does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
What Data We Collect
None. The app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not use analytics or tracking of any kind.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app saves the following information locally on your device using on-device storage. This data never leaves your device except as described in the "Adventure Mode" section below.
- Your reading position and chapter progress
- Theme and display preferences
- Adventure mode state (story history, choices, and character stats)
Adventure Mode & Google Gemini
Adventure mode uses Google's Gemini AI to generate interactive story content. When you use this feature, the app sends the following to Google Gemini via a server proxy:
- Current story context and scene descriptions
- Your in-game choices
- Character emotional stats (in-game values, not personal data)
No personally identifiable information is included in these requests. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
The app does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external service used is Google Gemini for AI story generation in adventure mode.
Children's Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
